Jazz Ensemble
Jazz Band is a full-year course sequence, which provides students, with basic to advanced music performance experience, the opportunity to further develop their skills in a large ensemble setting. With a balance of theory and practical applications, students will specialize their study on the various wind, brass, percussion, and rhythm section instruments of the jazz and salsa band. Students will study and perform music of various genres, countries, and eras. Students will generate CD’s of their own performances, for evaluation and demonstration purposes. This will be the school's top performing group, and will give numerous concerts here and abroad, as well as perform for sporting events.
